Focus and Scope

The objective of Jurnal Ulwan of Open Journal Systems is to demonstrate the use of this open source publication management system.

Peer Review Process

Each submitted manuscript is evaluated on the following basis:

- originality of its contributions to the field of the scholarly publishing

- the soundness of its theory and methodology given the topic

- the coherence of its analysis

- its ability to communicate to reader (grammar and style)

The manuscript is subjected to a double-blind review process who chosen from our panel of experts in their respective fields. Once submitted, the author may expect the result of the first review in 3 to 4 weeks time.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Ethics Statement

Jurnal Ulwan  is committed to ensure the publication process follows specific academic ethics. Hence, Authors, Reviewers and Editors are required to conform to standards of ethical guidelines.

Authors

Authors should discuss objectively the significance of research work, technical detail and relevant references to enable others to replicate the experiments. We do not accept fraudulent or inaccurate statements that may constitute towards unethical conduct. Authors should ensure the originality of their works. In cases where the work and/or words of others have been used, appropriate acknowledgements should be made. We do not accept plagiarism in all forms that constitute towards unethical publishing of an article. This includes simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to more than one journal. Corresponding author is responsible for the full consensus of all co-authors in approving the final version of the paper and its submission for publication.

Reviewers

Jurnal Ulwan treats manuscripts received for review as confidential documents. Therefore, Reviewers must ensure the confidentiality and shoud not use privileged information and/or ideas obtained through peer review for personal advantage. Reviews should be conducted based on academic merit and observations should be formulated clearly with supporting arguments. In cases where selected Reviewer feels unqualified to review a manuscript, Reviewer should notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process in TWO (2) weeks time from the review offer is made. In any reasonable circumstances, Reviewers should not consider to evaluate manuscripts if they have conflicts of interest (i.e: competitive, collaborative and/or other connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions affiliated to the papers).

Publication Frequency

Jurnal Ulwan is published in June and December every year.

Journal History

Jurnal Ulwan is a peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary international journal, publishing original and high-quality articles covering a wide range of topics in theory, applications, and research in the fields of Shariah (Islamic Finance and Islamic Jurisprudence), Usuluddin (Islamic Studies, Islamic Development Management, and Human Capital), and Quran Sunnah (Al-Quran and Tahfiz). Jurnal Ulwan provides an excellent platform for knowledge exchange among researchers working in Islamic Study areas. In addition, it provides an opportunity for the authors or researchers to share research findings and establish networks and collaborations.

Jurnal Ulwan published twice a year in June and December. Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished articles on all aspects stated above. No fee is charged from the authors during the submission, evaluation and publication processes.

Jurnal Ulwan is currently indexed by Google Scholar, MYCITE and MyJurnal.

This is an open-access journal which means that the content is freely available with APC to the user or corresponding institution.
